Hi there! My name is Mishana Sturdivant, and I own Tad Bit Rad Travels. I’m a Northern Virgina-based travel blogger who enjoys sharing my experiences worldwide as a black female solo traveler. In addition, I focus on teaching others how to attain similar experiences through recommendations, reviews, and tips. Solo traveling isn’t my only specialty; I occasionally enjoy a fun girl’s trip. So look forward to content centered around group trips as well! I passionately believe every woman deserves freedom, convenience, and anything that brings her joy and ease. Travel is that thing for me. I hope my blog inspires you to find what that is for yourself and only seek that. The purpose of this website is to encourage others to travel unapologetically and have all the resources needed to do so efficiently.
About Me
I was born and raised in North Carolina. I went to UNC-Chapel Hill, go Heels! I currently work in tech at one of the biggest technology companies in the world. The flexibility and financial stability of my 9-5 allow for my travel experiences. I recognize I have some privileges, but I still travel as financially conscious and as often as possible. My biggest work-life balance mantra is to use that PTO! Having a trip booked and planned always motivates me to push through the monotony of corporate work. On every trip, I have to start my mornings at the local cafe, spend time wandering on foot and end with a day at the Spa!
